Spring 2019 Get Up And Get Stunning Challenge

NEW Spring GUGS

Get up and get stunning!

One of my favorite parts of each Guide launch is the Get Up Get Stunning Challenge. Everyone in the Stunning Style Society gets a peek at 14 outfits from all 3 Guides, and we all get to try them out. We shop our closets, we incorporate out Classic Style Twists, and we share. I love seeing the creativity of the members as the develop their own personal styles.

It’s way too cold for a dress right now, so I wore a striped tee, jeans, and the white denim jacket. The destroyed jeans and stabby jewelry brought in my Edgy Classic style. I am trying so hard to convince myself I don’t need those gorgeous wedges, but my resolve may fail me in the end. I shopped my closet for the whole look.

“I think it’s too cold to keep this on today. But I wanted to play along so I tried it on. I really like to try on as many combinations as possible so I can see what works for my proportions. I may wear this one more in late spring. #boldandpure #minimalclassic The little fringe on this classic gives me a little fun thrown in.”
- Patti M.

This navy sweater is a repeat from last fall’s Guide, and I wear it all the time. It’s a favorite, and one of those classic basics that will never go out of style. I shopped my closet for my whole look.

“Spring Guide #67. Shopped the ol’ closet.”
- Pat B.

This is outfit #71 from the Stunning Style Spring Wardrobe Guide in the Bold Pure Hues color palette. I chose leopard print with studs instead of striped shoes to bring in my Edgy Classic. I shopped my closet for the whole outfit.

“It is still chilly here so I went with my fun pink polka dot sweater and black jeans and boots! Had to give a guest lecture today and felt professional but cool in this outfit”
- Rebekah P.

Outfit 38 from the Bold Pure Hues Spring Wardrobe Guide. I shopped my closet for everything but the pants, which are linked in the Guide. I can’t say no to this color! Because I am a pear shape, I had the tailor sew the hip pockets shut and cut them out. Now they are perfect.

“My version of outfit#38. I don’t have turquoise pants, so I used green pants. This is not an outfit I would have put together on my own and I’m not sure how I feel about it on me. I’m going to give it a go because I’ve got nothing to lose! #boldandpure #mininalclassic”
- Jill F.

Today I adapted outfit 26 from the Light Bright Tints Wardrobe Guide to my Bold Pure Hues Palette. Instead of a sky blue top, I went with my signature saturated turquoise. Dark wash instead of medium wash jeans, and silver sneakers and necklace instead of pink. I didn’t wear the jacket for very long bc it’s actually warm today, but I did include it in a picture! I’m #sportyedgyclassic today because it’s spring break we are taking the kids bowling, laser tagging, and arcading. That calls for sneakers. Not wedges. #mommytakesnoprisoners

“I have made it to Friday. So happy to get dressed today. I feel confident and stunning. My take on #39 from the #boldandpure Spring Guide. #minimalclassic #myconfidentcloset #share”
- Julie B.

Once again I’m taking inspiration from the Light Bright Tints Guide, outfit 18, and adapting it to my Bold Pure Hues color palette. Instead of floral embroidered jeans I chose destroyed jeans because I’m Edgy Classic , not Cute Classic. I wore my own version of layered necklaces, and pink metallic sandals instead of pink sneakers. I don’t really own anything yellow. I went with a fresh pink spring makeup look.

If you are wondering how to dress up the outfits in the Guides for work or other situations, I do it every Sunday. Today I swapped the ankle pants for a pencil skirt and flats for heels. I love this column of navy.

It’s not you, it’s the pants Four tips to buy the perfect pants so you never have a muffin top again.
