Get up and get stunning!
One of my favorite parts of each Guide launch is the Get Up Get Stunning Challenge. Everyone in the Stunning Style Society gets a peek at 14 outfits from all 3 Guides, and we all get to try them out. We shop our closets, we incorporate out Classic Style Twists, and we share. I love seeing the creativity of the members as the develop their own personal styles.
It’s way too cold for a dress right now, so I wore a striped tee, jeans, and the white denim jacket. The destroyed jeans and stabby jewelry brought in my Edgy Classic style. I am trying so hard to convince myself I don’t need those gorgeous wedges, but my resolve may fail me in the end. I shopped my closet for the whole look.
This navy sweater is a repeat from last fall’s Guide, and I wear it all the time. It’s a favorite, and one of those classic basics that will never go out of style. I shopped my closet for my whole look.
This is outfit #71 from the Stunning Style Spring Wardrobe Guide in the Bold Pure Hues color palette. I chose leopard print with studs instead of striped shoes to bring in my Edgy Classic. I shopped my closet for the whole outfit.
Outfit 38 from the Bold Pure Hues Spring Wardrobe Guide. I shopped my closet for everything but the pants, which are linked in the Guide. I can’t say no to this color! Because I am a pear shape, I had the tailor sew the hip pockets shut and cut them out. Now they are perfect.
Today I adapted outfit 26 from the Light Bright Tints Wardrobe Guide to my Bold Pure Hues Palette. Instead of a sky blue top, I went with my signature saturated turquoise. Dark wash instead of medium wash jeans, and silver sneakers and necklace instead of pink. I didn’t wear the jacket for very long bc it’s actually warm today, but I did include it in a picture! I’m #sportyedgyclassic today because it’s spring break we are taking the kids bowling, laser tagging, and arcading. That calls for sneakers. Not wedges. #mommytakesnoprisoners
Once again I’m taking inspiration from the Light Bright Tints Guide, outfit 18, and adapting it to my Bold Pure Hues color palette. Instead of floral embroidered jeans I chose destroyed jeans because I’m Edgy Classic , not Cute Classic. I wore my own version of layered necklaces, and pink metallic sandals instead of pink sneakers. I don’t really own anything yellow. I went with a fresh pink spring makeup look.
If you are wondering how to dress up the outfits in the Guides for work or other situations, I do it every Sunday. Today I swapped the ankle pants for a pencil skirt and flats for heels. I love this column of navy.
