T-shirt, jeans and moccasins today. Everyone is home because of the holiday, and we are doing some MILD decluttering. Tee Banana Republic (similar here), jeans Express, moccasins Bearpaw (I’ve had these for 6 weeks, wear them everyday, love them, but SIZE UP. I’m so glad I did), earrings WHBM (old. But love these!).
Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a cable knit turtleneck tunic-ish sweater in nearly white? Very. The one I’ve had for a few years gave up the ghost this year. When I pulled it out it had 2 big stains and was showing its age. It took me a few months to find this one, and I got it on Poshmark. Sweater Croft & Barrow (but similar here), flannel J. Crew, jeans Express, boots G.H. BASS.
I got up and got dressed for the planned day: breakfast with friends and errands. Then my youngest woke up with a fever and threw up in the car while we were driving the older kids to school. Change of plan! We came home, and I changed clothes so I could be a human recliner the rest of the day. Leggings, a soft plaid and slippers are the ultimate comfort on a sick day. We went from her sleeping in my arms to suddenly throwing up all over me like the exorcist. Good thing this can go straight to the wash. Shirt Beach Lunch Lounge (hurry!! It’s on clearance!!) and tons more colors here, leggings Zella, moccasins Bearpaw.
after a 2-month break from color, I am suddenly feeling ready for it. More than that, I’m craving it. Truthfully it’s bc they’ve gotten my estrogen levels down a lot, and that makes me feel so much better. I looked for 2 years to find a stretchy (but not knit), bold pencil skirt, and I found this one a couple of months ago at The Limited. Reds are hard to match, but these are a perfect match. I painted this shoulder zipper. Off to church in all my parallel lined glory. Sweater Banana Republic (t-shirt version here), skirt The Limited (similar here), shoes Ivanka Trump
