Five Favorite Things in October

I’m sharing my number one supplement that has eliminated my adult acne, depression, and crankiness (mostly, let’s be honest). I’ve also got 3 great Christmas gifts for anyone on your list, and something to help you tackle the holiday dishes. You don’t want to miss my 5 favorite things in October!

It’s been a little wild around here with the launch of the Bold and Pure Hues Winter Wardrobe Guide and the newest addition, the Rich and Warm color palette Winter Wardrobe Guide. I also launched a limited edition Stunning Style jewelry collection and a fun Classic Style Twist quiz.

But I didn’t want to miss a month of sharing five of my favorite things with you! Three of them would make great Christmas gifts for both kids and adults. One will help you with those holiday dishes, and one will help you enjoy the holidays a lot more!

This month I’m sharing my can’t-live-without supplement that resolved a ton of issues for me, including my depression. I’m sharing another favorite book series that my boys and I have really enjoyed reading together, my girls’ favorite beauty product, and more!

  1. Have your boys ever read the Tarzan books by Edgar Rice Burroughs? I read those over and over when I was a pre-teen. The books were written in the early 1900’s and so are "clean" in terms of language and sexuality. If all you know of Tarzan is found in the movies, try the books. There are a lot of them: Tarzan of the Apes, The Return of Tarzan, The Son of Tarzan, The Beasts of Tarzan, Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar, Tarzan at the Earth’s Core, Tarzan and the Ant Men are some that I remember. Burroughs also has a series about Mars which is good. The hero of those books is John Carter.

  2. We love the Rangers Apprentice series. Started reading it many years ago when my teenage son was reading it. Even though he has long left home, we still buy each title as soon as it becomes available. My 70+ year old mother, came across them on our shelves and started reading the series too. When I came home from work, a few of them had disappeared off our shelves. So a multi-generational big tick.

    1. They are fun books! I’ve started on the Early Years books, and for Christmas they are getting the Brotherband Chronicles. I’ll continue to get the new releases as well. The next Royal Ranger book comes out in May or something.
