What I Wore 1-9-17

I was hoping for a stay home day, but I’m taking my son to get his first pair of glasses. The weather went from single digits and snow last week to a high in the mid 40s and rain today. Cardigan Banana Republic, shirt Old Navy (it’s a duplicate of the Rails Hunter plaid, but similar here), waxed pants and booties Mindy Mae’s Market, earrings Paparazzi. Lipsense Kiss For a Cause.

Buffalo check is as close as I get to animal print. It’s a snowy rainy slushy icky day, and I have to go out all morning. Hopefully these keep my feet warm and dry. Sweater Lands End (similar here), pants Express, boots G.H. Bass, earrings Bluefly.

I can’t wear polka dots. They make me look like an angry clown. But these square dots are right up my alley. I also love this brooch and all the straight lines. In the spring or fall I would wear this with ankle pants and silver flats, but it’s too cold for that, so I chose skinnies and the boots I painted last night. Blouse Banana Republic, sweater Nine West (similar here), pants Express, boots L.K. I don’t know why, but I just can’t do color lately. And by lately I mean the last 2 months. Thank goodness I now know that I can retreat to black unabashedly. Maybe it’s bc I’m volunteering at school today to dissect cow eyeballs. This snow storm wasn’t in the forecast, but no worries, I got my boots. Turtleneck Cable and Gauge (similar here), leather pants Banana Republic (similar here, here and here), boots G.H. BASS, earrings Express, bracelet Nordstrom Rack.

Laid back day at home and off to dinner and a play with friends. Cardigan and leather pants Banana Republic (similar here, here and here), blouse Express (sold out, but they have tons of patterns and colors here), boots L.K. Bennett, earrings WHBM, necklace Bling.

This is what I wore to church today. All the parallel lines, and a little cobalt blue to go with my black. Blouse Express (sold out, but they have tons of patterns and colors here), skirt The Limited (similar here), shoes Ivanka Trump, earrings Nordstrom Rack, necklace Banana Republic.
